BOP Class of 2018

This year, the BOP graduates 28 very talented musicians and performers. We are so appreciative of the parents, teachers, and family members who have supported these wonderful young people over the years.

Next week we will have a marching band show with fabulous weather and all uniforms and props accounted for. I have attached the schedule for the McLean County show and the full agenda can be found on the Charms Calendar if you click on the show date. https://www.bandofpride.com/calendar/

Admission: $7 (a program is also available for only $3 at the gate). Kids 5 and under are free.

I have also included the schedule for the remainder of the season as a PDF attached to the newsletter. It may help to print it out and stick on the fridge. The Charms office app has been a little quirky lately, so keep that as a reference.

We are first for Quarterfinals performance on October 20th, but an official schedule has not been released. Stay tuned for exact performance times. They should be released early this week.

We also have hotel information for KMEA State Semifinals and Finals. We will be leaving after school on October 26th and staying at the Fairfield Inn & Suites Lexington East (by Marriott), 2211 Elkhorn Road, Lexington, KY 40505. Students will begin signing up for rooms this week. Cost of the weekend for students will be $42 each. This includes their room, special KMEA State finals meal and entry to shows in which they are performers. This does not include the cost of their souvenir shirt, should they choose to get one. The window to purchase tickets to state semi-finals opens this week and I would recommend purchasing tickets now if you want good seats. Parents who move props and equipment onto the performance field do not have to purchase tickets for our performance, but will need to purchase tickets if they plan to watch other bands.
